Futurist, Keynote Speaker, Business Strategist, Author, Human
I’m a Swedish-born futurist currently based in Cape Town, South Africa. I’m a C-level executive, business strategist, entrepreneur, author, and I love to travel. With my interests in the future and with my extensive experience of intercultural management, I challenge leaders and executives to think differently.
Led by my curiosity, I’ve lived, worked, and travelled in over 90 countries, I’ve been evacuated from two civil wars, have been stuck during a coup d’état, have climbed in Nepal, South America and summited all the seven highest peaks in Africa; and I’ve run a dugout canoe up and down Kinabatangan in Borneo, all in the quest of new challenges.
My more than 20 years of mobile technology experience started with restructuring logistics flows for Ericsson’s mobile network rollout in East Asia in the late 90s. I were the project director in charge of building six mobile networks for MSI/Celtel in Africa (now Airtel Africa) and then I co-founded a Pan-African Mobile Value-Added Services company. To share my knowledge and intercultural experience from Asia and Africa, I wrote the book “PERspective – Pros and Cons of Expat Life” in 2014.
Adding to my worldwide business experience, I obtained a Post Grad Diploma (honors) in Futures Studies from Stellenbosch Business School, a Master of Science from Linkoping University; started a health food import and distribution company in South Africa; graduated with honors from the Swiss business school IMD’s Executive MBA programme in 2018, and I work as a freelance futurist across the globe.
I’ve used my experience from teaching at Linkoping University to create and deliver impactful future focused keynotes and workshops, delivered to a variety of industry professionals, NGOs, and government organizations in South Africa, Middle East, and across Europe.
I’ve got a healthy dose of wanderlust, I love mountaineering, I enjoy good wine with great friends, and a day where I haven’t learnt something new, I regard as a wasted day!
